Lenay Dunn, M.A.

Lenay Dunn currently serves as the Associate Director for Research and Evaluation in ASU's Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness where she leads a team of researchers and projects to provide data for administrative decision-making and to improve the educational effectiveness of the university. In addition, Ms. Dunn provides survey consultation and grant evaluation services to the university community. Previous to her tenure at ASU, Ms. Dunn served as a Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) where she managed multiple state, federal, and foundation research and evaluation projects related to education policy and reform. Prior to her career in educational research, Ms. Dunn was a Teach for America teacher and held leadership roles in various K-12 and higher education programs in New Orleans. She has served on the AZENet board since 2008. Ms. Dunn holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona and a M.A. from Stanford University. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an emphasis on policy analysis and research/evaluation methods at Arizona State University.

Pamela Garrett, M.A.

Pamela Garrett has worked in the field of educational assessment and evaluation since 2002.  She is currently the Program Manager for Graduate Interdisciplinary Initiatives for the Arizona State University Graduate College.  In this capacity she fills a variety of roles including assessment and evaluation of classes and programs sponsored by the ASU Graduate College, overview and coordination of all activities for over 100 Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellows, advising and collaborative editing of research proposals from various faculty members, and coordination of all planning activities for the upcoming 2010 Science Foundation Arizona Grand Challenges Conference.  Ms. Garrett is also a co-investigator for the ASU-Citizen Engineer-Scientist @ K-12 Schools Research Project funded by Science Foundation Arizona.  Ms. Garrett earned her M.A. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Measurement, Statistics and Methodological Studies in 2008.  She is presently working to complete her Ph.D. in 2010.  Ms. Garrett is a member of the Arizona Evaluation Network, the Amercian Evaluation Association, and the American Educational Research Association

Cassandra O'Neill has over 20 years of experience working with organizations in the social sector. She has consulted with and provided technical assistance to over 80 organizations since 2000.  She applies strength based approaches to facilitation, strategic planning, coaching, research, and evaluation.  Prior to becoming a consultant she worked for state government agencies in two states, the National Governors' Association, the National Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, Rutgers University, and a national social service agency.  She is a member of the Alliance of Nonprofit Management's Board Governance Affinity  Group, the SLHI Consultants Community of Practice, and is currently serving as the Local Affiliate Representative to the American Evaluation Association Local Affiliates Council.

Maria Aguilar-Amaya

Maria Aguilar-Amaya has over 15 years of experience in the criminal justice system. Maria currently serves as a Researcher / Data Analyst for the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts in the Adult Probation Services Division where she oversees research and data projects to provide data for administrative decision-making and to improve the effectiveness of probation supervision in Arizona. Previous to her position with the Arizona Supreme Court, Ms. Aguilar-Amaya served as a Management Analyst for the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department. In her role as a management analyst, Maria gained budgeting experience through the use of Budgeting for Results. Maria is also co-owner of a small local business in which she manages all financial transactions. Ms. Aguilar-Amaya is a current doctoral student with the University of Phoenix and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Management and Organizational Leadership. Ms. Aguilar-Amaya received a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice with a minor in Communications from Arizona State University.

Mary Aleta White, Ph.D.

Mary Aleta White is currently an independent evaluator and is primarily responsible for designing, coordinating, and conducting evaluation and other educational-related research activities. She has worked in the fields of grant making, evaluation, and social science research for the past 10 years. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from Arizona State University in 1998.

Dr. White serves a member of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Evaluation Network. She is a long-standing member of the American Educational Research Association and of the American Evaluation Association. She has made a number of conference presentations related to educational research and evaluation both locally and nationally. Her current interest is in developing a comprehensive system of evaluation services for Arizona K-12 school systems.

Steven Cofrancesco

Steven Cofrancesco is Co-Founder and Co-President of The HELP Institute, Inc. His education is multidisciplinary, having a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in public administration with a specialization in community development, and he is presently pursuing a PhD in business administration with a specialization in research methods. He has worked in the public sector as an economic development specialist, was a United States Peace Corps volunteer in the former Soviet Republic of Turkmenistan, and is bilingual (English/Russian). He has experience as a business operations consultant and has owned and operated a successful small business. He currently writes for The Examiner on issues of economic development and program evaluation, and also serves on the board of the Maricopa Health Centers’ Governing Council.
